CRIME! Arrests on credit reports, Part 2

Governments. Hello, Senator Grassley and HELLO, IOWA! You're the star! Make a difference! Plain Midwest truth—Word On: CRIME! Your typo your downfall!

| By Greg Fisher

Today in Washington and Des Moines, very important people are doing very important things. #IA #unnamed #TheScourgeofTheAnonymous

In 2005, U.S. Senator Chuck Grassley wrote, "And homeowners applying for a loan also now will receive the credit score used by mortgage lender to calculate the loan's interest rate." #falsity #IA #error #0501A*

He also wrote (and commented), "Trans Union" (not TransUnion) ...

... or, some miserable staffer did. 😆

This is not complicated. #StopTalking #CommsGirl #n529 #dotGov

In Ohio, in Clark County, arrest records are public. However, Equifax, one of three main nationwide credit bureaus states, "Bankruptcy public records are the only public records that appear on credit reports."

Inartfully, Trans Union chimes in with, "A credit report includes your personal information, like your date of birth, current and former addresses, names and employers, public records which include bankruptcies, open and closed credit accounts, collections and credit inquiries.

And, Experian (as elucidated earlier in Part 1) emphatically states, "Your credit report does not include your marital status, medical information, buying habits or transactional data, income, bank account balances, criminal records or level of education."

Is there a train to your capital? How else are you supposed to get there to discuss consumer reports? #redress #IA #NoTrainToTheCapitol

There's a bus (motorcoach; intercity), at least, right? #interurban #Whistlestop #QQDSMCU

Just Another List

  1. IOWA! Senator Grassley faxes it in.

Credit reports are summaries of our creditworthiness used by creditors or lenders. There are three nationwide consumer reporting companies which collect credit information – Equifax, Experian and TransUnion. The information collected and placed on a credit report includes personal data, a summary of credit history, detailed account information, inquiries from lenders into an individual's credit history, details of accounts turned over to a credit agency, and any disputes to the information from the individual. Essentially, the agencies keep track of your ability to pay bills on time, whether you've been sued or arrested or have filed for bankruptcy. #CommsGirl #0904A
