You published, "According to myFICO, your credit utilization ratio accounts for 30% of your score."

While myFICO said, "Debt-to-limit ratio makes up 30% of your FICO Score," that does not make it true.

How could it be true? It makes no sense. The category Amounts Owed is weighted at 30 percent and such a ratio is only part of that category. The ratio doesn't make up the entire category. The category contains other things like How many accounts have balances and The amount owed on all accounts.

Indeed, Credit utilization ratio on revolving accounts is in the 30% category, but it is only one of 5 factors.
